XRE Curated an AR Exhibition in Shanghai Design Week 2023 | London

On 16 September, Design to Wonderland, the Overseas Exhibition of World Design Cities Conference 2023 (WDCC2023) officially opened at China Exchange in London, running from 16-29 September. Organised by Shanghai Design Week, the exhibition programme comprises an opening ceremony, four curated exhibition spaces and multiple design forums. The exhibition provides an opportunity for international audiences to gain insight into the current trends and dynamic changes in the field of Chinese design and also serves as a creative platform for more brands and designers to engage in exchange and collaboration with design cities worldwide.

Invited by Shanghai Design Week, XRE curated an immersive AR experience trail, showcasing a boundless exhibition under challenging physical conditions. Visitors can engage in a three-part AR interactive experience following the exhibition route, including YOU Gallery, Bionic Headwear, and Walking Cluster. We have carried out a comprehensive interactive experience design, which encompasses experience design, webAR development, artist curation, and content creation.

During the exhibition, the audience can engage in various AR interactive experiences. In YOU Gallery, we merge the digital aesthetics of generative art and 3D art into the real environment through the AR art gallery. Visitors can choose to view and engage with the curated works of four artists: Nullbaysea, XRT, MOSISISI, and Beili Wang. Bionic Headwear allows the audience to try on four digitally adjustable headwear pieces inspired by deep-sea biomechanical structures. Walking Cluster enables visitors to explore and manipulate biomimetic footwear in the palm of their hand.
